What is the minimum set of clubs I need for a 9 hole game?

I started playing golf again after a layoff after college. I really dislike carrying my full set of clubs and I would like to switch to a small Sunday bag with a minimum set of clubs to play 9 holes and for the driving range.

definitely add the sand wedge. I’d also consider putting in a 6 iron instead of the 5. You will hit the 5 a little further, but the 6 will be more accurate and consistent. Also, depending on how well you hit your 3 wood, that could be a subsitute for the driver. On holes where accuracy is more important, I would be inclined not to pull out the driver. Obviously need the putter, and I would put in the sand wedge for bunker and around the green shots. (can generate spin, hitting out of rough, etc..)
